RECOVERY PUMP

INTRODUCTION

Fisiopress Sport line devices (Recovery Pumps) are sequential systems that apply a specific pressure to the limbs in order to:
  • relieve swelling, pain and fatigue
  • quickly remove metabolic waste (carbon dioxide, lactic acid and waste products) accumulated in the muscles
  • empty the venous compartment
  • increase arterial flow
  • progressively reduce any edema and promote its reabsorption * stabilize venous and lymphatic circulation
DESCRIPTION

The Fisiopress device is based on the association of a pressure distribution device (base unit) to practical and anatomical sleeves for lower limbs (leg sleeves) and upper limbs (arm sleeves) which can be used both on a single limb and on a couple.
The compression exerted is sequential and has been used in the medical field for decades for the reduction of venous and lymphatic edema.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The action performed by the system, once the device is connected to its external garments, is to drain the venous and lymphatic flows and the liquids in their physiological direction along the limb (disto-proximal action) normalizing the venous circulation and simultaneously increasing the artery flow in order to improve muscle oxygenation.

RESULTS

The described actions play an important role in the following situations:

COMPARTMENT PROBLEMS

BENEFITS: STABILIZATION OF THE VENOUS CIRCULATION AND REMOVAL OF VENOUS STASIS (DEFLATION OF THE LIMB, GREATER LIGHTNESS), REMOVAL OF LYMPHATIC STASIS, PROGRESSIVE REDUCTION OF SWELLING AND LIGHTNESS INCREASING)

PROBLEMS RELATED TO TRAUMA EDEMA

BENEFITS: PROGRESSIVE REDUCTION OF EDEMA AND ITS REABSORPTION

REDUCED RECOVERY TIMES

BENEFITS: PHYSIOLOGICAL REDUCTION OF FATIGUE, IMPROVING THE RECOVERY OF THE ATHLETE.
